The Moviliza application was on premise and the data center in its VMWare infrastructure had no more resources to allocate, which prevented the growth of the application, which was planned to grow by 100% for the following year.
The cloud solution proceeded as follows:
- Connectivity tests between GCP and the RUNT LAN
- Migration of 6 instances with persistent HDD and SDD disks
- Subnet configuration for project in region us-east1-d
- Configuring firewall rules for Google Compute Engine restricting access to instances
- Configuration of turning on and off resources according to infrastructure availability
Benefits:
- Availability of services: it allowed the application to be consulted when the end user needs it.
- Elasticity of the infrastructure: allows growth in resources when the business requires it.
- Optimization of resources: essential since the client will not require a long and complex process for the acquisition of hardware that prevents the rapid enabling of the productive environment.
The migration of the Moviliza application environment was achieved. Moviliza delivers services to RUNT clients through web applications and APIs that allow interconnection with other systems. They currently provide information consultation and payment gateway services.
