DIFFERENT COMPANIES, ONE CONSOLE
With 40 years of experience in the market, the history of CAABSA is that of a business group made up of several companies that, belonging to various sectors of the Mexican economy, have grown at different rates. Thus, the demand for technological solutions was heterogeneous between the different companies (each company has grown at its own pace and each team hired different technological providers), which resulted in each one having different email providers (Google, GoDaddy, Microsoft , etc.). Some CAABSA Group companies had Microsoft licenses and could only share information with other MS domains (there was no collaboration between the various companies in the group).
What was the consequence? The administration was complicated and decentralized, in addition to not having adequate security (there were even some incidents related to hacker attacks).
This situation encourages the adoption and implementation of G Suite, with the advice and training of Xertica. The objective of the project was to centralize and unify all domains in a single console, in order to have greater control, administration and file recovery.
BOOSTING SAFETY STANDARDS
Before having G Suite, Grupo CAABSA was exposed to the risks of not keeping information in the cloud; All the information lived on the computers, there was a risk of getting a virus and suffering total loss of information if there was any theft of equipment. Additionally, the security solution was not strong at the email level; the administrator of each system assigned the password to each of the users, which represented a very serious security gap.
With G Suite, each user sets their own password and there is an audit of what is happening. In the past, the IT area at Grupo CAABSA did not have any visibility into this, the administrator could access their emails and see their information without anyone noticing. Today you can audit who changes the password, where they log in from, among other advantages.
REMOTE COLLABORATION IN THE CLOUD
Confidence in the security guaranteed by the Google cloud has motivated the use of Drive to share folders, files, documents and information in general. Today, at Grupo CAABSA files can be shared in all its business units and areas because it is much more accessible since it simply requires a user and assigning very specific roles in the files. As Jorge Boyás, Group CIO, emphasizes: “This served to stop using Office and start using Google Docs office automation (with emphasis on Sheets, which also helps us modify content in real time and with several users simultaneously) "Currently, a CAABSA Group employee can have all their information synchronized with Google Drive. This enables the company's human resources to work from any device. In contrast, providers like GoDaddy only gave the Group the service of receiving and sending emails, but lacked any visibility at the administrator level.
XERTICA AND CHANGE MANAGEMENT
CAABSA Group has numerous executives who have long-term careers in the company, which translates into the participation of an important group of non-digital natives, for whom migration to G Suite should be done with a greater educational focus. In that sense, Grupo CAABSA relied on the Xertica Methodology: train of trainers, which made it possible to detect failures in the early stages to provide an agile and quick solution. Likewise, Xertica provides support with face-to-face courses in each company of the Group.
With 35 consoles that were centralized in one, the process was orderly. The migration consisted of 730 active accounts, took two months and one month for adoption.

IT Area: They were favored by more robust security that offers greater control, as well as the single administration console. For example: the recovery of employee information when they leave the company, data in the cloud accessible from anywhere, synchronization of data from the different companies of the Group.
Legal Area: you can now have contracts online and share them between the different companies in the group and edit your documents more easily. Executives and sales: they can access remotely and have information in real time, this allows them to access new business opportunities from any space, time and place.
